Our kids class is designed to teach the fundamentals of kickboxing/ Muay Thai Kids will learn discipline,confidence gain coordination. Practicing techniques on pads and bags. They will also become stronger healthier , as kickboxing/ Muay Thai is the most effective martial art for physical fitness

Muay Thai / Kickboxing

Muay Thai or Thai Boxing is a national combat sport from Thailand, utilizing stand up striking and clinching techniques. This discipline involves the use of 'eight limbs' and the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins/legs. Muay Thai basics, intermediate and fitness classes will be offered and are designed solely with the students in mind. Our Muay Thai classes will provide students with the basics and foundation of the art and curriculum, so that the students may truly have an understanding of the fundamentals. We want our students to keep an open mind, appreciate the arts and have a fun experience at Thunder Valley Martial Arts

JIUJITSU

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu BJJ is an effective martial art that’s been developed and proven where it matters most – in combat. BJJ uses the body’s natural movements plus the concept of leverage to enable those using it to defend themselves against bigger and stronger opponents by immobilizing them, applying joint locks and chokes and using superior position to control the situation. Stats and events show that more than 90% of confrontations end up in the grappling distance or on the ground. Knowing BJJ will keep you out of harm’s way by giving you the skills to defend yourself in these close-quarters situations. Having the confidence to defend yourself should you hit the ground is something that cant be overlooked and paramount in any self defense or martial arts situation.

Filipino martial art

Kali, sometimes called Eskrima or Arnis, is a martial art from the Philippines that emphasizes the use of sticks, knives, and other bladed weapons. It also includes empty-hand techniques and incorporates various grappling, joint-locking, and striking methods. Kali is highly regarded for its adaptability, with a focus on fluid, dynamic movement and real-world application in self-defense situations. The training in Kali is built on mastering weaponry first, which is then translated into empty-hand combat skills. The core of Kali revolves around the principle of "flow, which means being able to adapt to any given situation and attack or defend from various angles, using both hands and weapons. Practitioners learn to fight from different ranges, from long-range strikes with sticks to close-quarter grappling and knife fighting. The use of angles and positioning is essential, making Kali a highly strategic and efficient martial art. 

MMA

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a highly dynamic and disciplined combat sport that combines various martial arts disciplines to create a comprehensive fighting system. Known for its intense physicality and technical complexity, MMA emphasizes a well-rounded skillset, incorporating elements of striking, grappling, and submissions to outmaneuver opponents. Our MMA classes at Thunder Valley Martial arts are designed to instill the fundamentals, from basic strikes and defensive techniques to advanced submissions and transitions. Training will focus on agility, strength, endurance, and flexibility while teaching students how to control positions, read opponents, and execute effective techniques. Through our structured classes, students will build confidence, resilience, and mental toughness, learning not only to attack and defend but also to strategize and adapt. MMA provides a total-body workout, a foundation for self-defense, and a challenging experience for all skill levels.
